Over the past 16 years, Yury Vasiliev was a member of the senior management of large Russian companies, led the project on reforming the non-production sphere of the hydroelectric power station of the Management Company «Volzhskiy gidroenergeticheskiy kaskad» of RAO "UES Russia", and the project on creating a high-tech technology park in the Republic of Mordovia.
In 2010 – 2014, he led the Special Economic Zone in Zelenograd, initiated and led the work on the creation of the innovative territorial cluster «Zelenograd».
In 2014 – 2017, he was Vice President for International Cooperation and Innovation, MORTON Group of Companies, Head of the «Russian Technical Society». He contributed to the development of MORTON Group of Companies in the format of a high-tech innovative company, prepared for implementation / investment the most promising developments in terms of construction, energy efficiency, transport, housing and communal services, “smart” urban and home technologies.
Since 2017, Yury Vasiliev has participated in the creation and then headed the Institute of Arctic Technologies and the Scientific & Technological Center for Autonomous Energy within the framework of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technologies. Scientific & Technological Center of autonomous energy includes the following divisions / laboratories: renewable energy sources, energy storage, hydrogen energy, solid oxide fuel cells, microgrid and artificial intelligence in energy, Arctic Autonomous Energy Engineering Center.
Yury Vasiliev graduated from National Research University - Higher School of Economics (specialization "Strategic Management").
