Philipp is with Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit -- shortly GIZ -- Germany's premier international development agency. He is the responsible director for energy efficiency and climate-friendly cooling in GIZ's Thailand portfolio, and heads the "Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning" greenhouse gas mitigation program of 15 Million Euro to support the market introduction of green cooling technologies in Thailand's refrigeration and air-conditioning industry.
Before joining GIZ, Philipp headed a research group on computational modeling and simulation, mostly focused on energy systems, at RWTH Aachen University, and was working as a freelance advisor for an energy-related consultancy. With a research background in both energy and computational engineering, Philipp is author of more than 30 research papers.
Today, Philipp is using his expertise to design and implement energy efficiency programs in international development. His responsibilities in Thailand cover energy efficiency, clean energy finance and related climate and energy policies
